Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze has spoken out about how Arsenal turned him down when he was just 13 years.

The winger recently revealed that he is a Gunner and that it has always been his dream to play for Arsenal.

More interestingly, the midfielder was a member of Arsenal’s youth system before being released.

The Gunners have been rumoured to be interested in him in the past, but no moves were made. He would have been an excellent acquisition due to his versatility.

Eze said on the Rising Ballers YouTube channel:

Arsenal was probably the hardest [rejection]. My dream was to play for them. Hearing them say ‘no’ at 13 was tough. I remember training after I got released, I couldn’t focus because I was crying.
